How many syringes of Lip fillers can I have in one session?
Our expert injector recommends having 1 syringe on your first session, if you choose to, you can have 2 done on your appointment. It’s always best to start with less then add as needed.
Are there any risks involved?
There’s very little risk involved when injecting the lips, however infections and scaring are always a possibility. At time of injection our injector ensures that your lips, equipment and room is sterile. During consultation he’ll also brief you on precautions to be taken before your treatment. If you have a cold sore or is susceptible to having them, then a prescription medication will be recommended.
What are some likely side effects of Lip Injections?
Some of the most common side effects include bruising, swelling and minor discomfort. These usually last for only a few days and are completely gone within a week.
Do Lips injection Hurt?
Lips are very sensitive, and pain varies from person to person. You will feel some discomfort during your treatment , however, a numbing topical agent will be applied a few minutes before your treatment, we also use ice packs to help decrease any discomforts at time of injecting. After injections your lips may feel heavier and tender. An ice pack and over the counter anti inflammatory will be enough to ease any discomforts.
What can I do to prepare for my Lip Injections?
At time of consultation, your injector will recommend you avoiding aspirin /any medications containing Ibroprophen, alcohol & smoking. This will help to keep bruising and swelling at a minimum. If you have a cold sore or are susceptible to having them, then we recommend you using an anti -viral medication 1 week prior your lip enhancement procedure. Our medical doctor will discuss this with you at time of consultation and give you a prescription if needed.
When will I see results?
Results will be seen immediately, you’ll see fuller, smoother lips as soon as the treatment is over, however some of that results is due to swelling . The final results be seen with in 2 weeks of your treatment, at this point any swelling and bruising will subside, revealing your Softer, more supple, fuller, beautifully shaped lips.
How Long will the results of the Lip Injections Last?
Depending on the filler type that’s used it can last from 3 months -1year. At Vip Medspa we have a variety of Fillers that are Health Canada approved to be injected in the LIPS. Some of our brands includes:

If its your first time having lip injections we usually recommend starting with a filler that last for a shorter time. At time of consultation this will be discussed with you.
